Blurb

He taught me to kill. Murder is in my blood now. It runs through my veins and though I hide the monster I see in the mirror with ink, it doesn’t keep him from coming out.

My street name is Mercy, but I never show any. Except for her. I watch Becca, though she doesn’t know. She saved me a long time ago; the day my father killed my mother. Her bravery turned her into a target.

My father holds a grudge and knife with the same proficiency, and Becca is the focus of his hatred. And I’m the only monster who can save her.

My review 5 Skulls

Mercy is every the guy that every mother tells you to avoid.

A Dark, killing machine, mysterious, but what she didn't tell you was how hard he loves when he loves. Debra Anastasia has delivered us the devil in disguise, a slow burn romance that will have you eagerly waiting for the pair to just get it on lol. Its dark, gritty, and heartbreaking all in one but has its added glitter among the read.

The relationship between Mercy and Animal was heartwarming, brotherly and unbreakable.

I don't think I have ever read such a strong connection between two men as I did in this read. Animals unwavering love and loyalty had my heart pattering and the authors vivid imagery of him certainly sweetened the deal . I cant wait for his book ! I absolutely loved him in this . I giggled at the way he spoke to Nix - and the controlled way in which he quiet often brought him back to himself. These two have a connection that I have never read in story and it certainly warmed me from the inside out.

The secondary characters will also pull at your heartstrings, the love and dedication to their friendship shows us that the characters had such deep cores. The depth and definition was once again shown so well by the author. Many laugh out loud moments , between the girls and Dicks name had to be one of those for me as a reader.

The story was told in Dual pov - and both main characters very likable. Now Mercy ! Where do I start with this man - he was certainly A grade beef baby.. Despite his dark side we see light within his Darkness and this is Becca.
His love for Becca was unwavering, and despite her finding out his stalker tendencies she fell for him hook, line and sinker. She was a very loyal and likable character, she accepted Nix for exactly who he was skeleton mask and all. Didn't ask many questions just loved him .

As for Becca's mother - she kinda has my feathers ruffled on many occassions, but despite it all her love and affection for her mother was heart warming.

and suspensy and full of fear and love and hope. It was a great love story. A

Overall, Mercy was a suspenseful romance wrapped up in love and hope, a perfect combination of laugh out loud moments and some steam to heat up the pages. Revenge and redemption well outlined in the plot but overall a fluently written story that will have you reading till you have turned the last page .

UNPUTDOWNABLE, ENGAGING AND A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE OF SUSPENSE.

I do hope to see more in Animals book !! I cant wait ** grins *

Author Bio

Debra Anastasia likes to write from her heart, her soul or her butt. The genres she dabbles in are examples of that. There are two paranormal romances in the Seraphim Series and now four contemporary romances in the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood Series and a stand alone in the same genre, Mercy. Fire Down Below and Fire in the Hole, Booty Camp Dating Service and Beast complete her comedy repertoire. The Revenger, a dark paranormal romance, is finally in the light, and the last, a novella called Late Night with Andres, is special because 100% of the proceeds go to breast cancer research.

Debra lives in Maryland with her two kids, husband of twenty years and two dogs. The king of the house is clearly the tuxedo cat that is the size of a small donkey. Find about her latest adventures on DebraAnastasia.com
