My Review *****
Tiffinie Helmer certainly has a way with words. Her vivid descriptions, bring the surroundings to life , the characters are brought forth with character and depth and  at every page turned it just gets better.

Bait is a short story but filled to the brim with sexy goodness, suspense, romance, mystery  on the edge of your seat moments, as well as unique characters that you will enjoy.

Even though this is only a short read nothing is left out, this author has jam packed this short read to the brim with everything one could want. My only complaint - I wanted more ;) At only just over 50 pages long this short story is wrapped up nicely giving the reader every aspect within.

The Alaskan wonderland is brought to  life In Bait  - with a killer storyline to boot , I can guarantee this short read will have you hooked till the very last page but leave you wanting more.

An Unspoken Compromise - Rizi Xavier Timane Book Review

Rizi Xavier Timane, PhD, ASW, is a Nigerian-born transgender minister and certified grief recovery specialist residing in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in an extremely religious Christian home and was subjected to multiple exorcisms and other reparative attempts by his family and the church to "pray the gay away." An Unspoken Compromise takes you through his journey of self-discovery and spiritual exploration including: Coming out as a trans boy at eight years old Identifying as a lesbian in homophobic Africa Transitioning while facing societal and family rejection The religious persecution and bullying he has suffered all along Rizi's message to the LGBT community is twofold. First, be your authentic self-it's the only way to inner peace and happiness. Second, if you are in search of a relationship with God, a spiritual path to unconditional love and acceptance does exist for you free from condemnation and negative judgement.

My review
**** 4 Stars

"An Unspoken Compromise” is best read with an open mind and soul. It is well written and certainly gives the reader a lot to think about as far as the importance of being oneself and being happy no matter what.

The author who writes this story shares his life from a very young age telling us of his pain and heartbreak along the way of being born in a body he hever felt was truly right.

We see the path that he has chosen, the choices that he has made, and the consequences of his actions. But keep in mind these are ones that he has chosen, to lead to his happy life he wants to be his true self. His path to finding his true identity is one of pain along the way but also happiness that he shares within his story.

God and religion plays a very strong part in this story as well, learning to accept one, raise awareness of doing what is best and the love and acceptance from everyone. Whether is it negative or positive? Life must be lived the way one wants. Even if it’s not the body that you are born with.
We see his transitioning from a girl to a man – his true happiness within doing so and his journey which quiet often involved the ones he loves not accepting whom he wants to be- Transgender.

I as a reader I  was very na├»ve and relatively new to the LGBT community and Transgender, this book gives great details and I personally learnt a lot from it.

I recommend this book to anyone – but the awareness is everyone should be loved unconditionally no matter what gender they choose, and support is a huge benefit in helping one become one true self.
