3 1/2 stars.
Kristan Higgins Contemporary romance Catch of the Day Is about a chatty and small town Maine diner - waitress named Maggie. She has a crush on the town priests and to get over him starts dating others.
Between Maggie falling head over heals and shamesly for this man of god and her laugh out loud moments with Malone. Kristan Higgins kept me laughing through this entire book. It has lighthearted moments but also at one point during the read , Maggie suffered a loss that is quiet heartbreaking and for any emotional reader may shed a few tears.
Along comes lobster man Malone who she has a quick affair but due to Malone's uncertainly she is not sure how it will pan out.
This book is funny and certainly emotionally packed. Despite the troubles Maggie had with Dating there really wasn't a lot sexual details but the chemistry certainly did bring forth many emotions throughout the read.
Maggie has a personality that is one of a kind but I did enjoy the way in which Malone handled her through out the story line. At times you had to shake your head at her foot in mouth comments, but non the less and interesting and amusing character at times.
I certainly give Malone 5 stars for perservance.
The only downfall in this story was the abrupt ending - I think with a few added pages in the script we as the reader could have seen what happens at a later date.
Overall verdict - Wonderfully written contemporary romance that will give you a good laugh or two.
