Harlequin Summit 2013.
On February 27th Page Flipperz - ( Kat ) was invited to attend the Harlequin Summit where we met author Rachel Vincent, Bloggers from around Australia and also the Publisher and staff From Harlequin Sydney.
At the get together alot was mentioned - Books were discussed (( of course )) - upcoming books, we chatted with the author and met the team behind our wonderful books for review.
I met my fairy Book mother * Polina * and some of the staff from Harlequin , and it was wonderful to finally meet the people behind the emails, tweets and posts.
The Summit was held at Chatswood - Sydney, where we got to meet special guest Rachel Vincent. Rachel Vincent is the author of the Shifters series and the Unbound series, as well as the young adult Soul Screamers series.
Being a fan of Rachel's book I have to say this was an experience I wont forget. I met Rachel, she signed some of my Books including the her last and final instalment of the Soul Screamers series and I also got some signed bookmarks from the Shifter series to give away to my followers.
Rachel Vincent spoke at length about her books, her writing process, the hardest series she found to write and the love she has for her characters and finding it hard to let go but also in a good way.
She mentioned a new series in the works, however we were unable to bribe any hints out of her or get any tidbits or sneek preview into the upcoming new series she is writing.
A new book in her adult series, and also a new book in a new genre. I certainly cant wait to find out about this new genre she has in the works.
Harlequin community page has now been launched, which puts together selected information from social networks. Every month they will feature a blog , pictures via instagram, goodreads reviews, book extracts and more. Click on the link below that will take you to the site.
Harlequin gave out all bloggers wonderful goody bags, that contained a usb stick, magnet, books and a fab umbrella that certainly came in use on my holiday In Sydney.
I was lucky enough to meet some wonderful bloggers I have been chatting to via facebook. Novels on the Run, Book'd out and many more.
I met Rene and Stacey from Sassy Book Lovers . for the first time. We ventured out and did a day trip together exploring Sydney, and also got a picture taken with Rachel Vincent.
