The Mistress by Tiffany Reisz Book Review

There's punishment — and then there's vengeance.

Nora Sutherlin is in handcuffs, being held captive. Under different circumstances, she would enjoy the situation immensely, but her captors aren't interested in play. Or pity.

As the reality of her impending peril unfolds, Nora becomes Scheherazade, buying each hour of her life with stories — sensual tales of Søren, Kingsley and Wesley, each of whom has tempted, tested and tortured her in his own way. This, Nora realises, is her life: nothing so simple, so vanilla, as a mere love triangle for her. It's a knot in a silken cord, a tangled mass of longings of the body, the heart and the mind...which all could unravel at any moment.

But in Nora's world, no one is ever truly powerless — a cadre of her friends, protectors and lovers stands ready to do anything to save her. Even when the only certainty seems to be sacrifice and heartbreak...

BOOK REVIEW

 ** 4 .5 stars

The final book in The Original Sinners Series - The Red Years.  I am Sad to see this series end but also excited for more to come.

THE MISTRESS is the final instalment in the Red Years portion of Reisz's Original Sinners series. It not only brings out the depth of her characters but Tiffany’s profound writing.

Her depth into the characters and the Life of the BDSM lifestyle is once again put forth in this read . Including- Pleasure vs pain, and love on many levels.

We learn secrets and truths in this instalment .The Prince left us with a bang your head on the wall - cliff-hanger... and…

The Mistress starts off right where The Prince left off. Nora has been kidnapped. We aren’t sure what the kidnapper wants or who ……………….. . daaaahhdarrrr Nora tells her past to her kidnapper in hopes of stalling the killer . This was drawn on at times but also found it very intriguing. I just wanted to know ya know....

Tiffany certainly does it again – provides us with endless amounts of kink and storyline without taking anything away from
the reader.

We see deeper into Nora and Soren’s life and relationship giving
the reader many A ++ endings and also setting up the next book.

Do not read the books out of order or you will find that this book is a
complete spoiler.

Nora fills in her time in captivity by enlightening her capture with her tales and past with Soren. It gives us great insight into her past with not just Soren but the men in her life. This was well detailed and we see more into Nora's life with these men and how each and every releationship was different.

We see characters from previous books which were nice to see – and in the short time we see Soren’s niece in the picture we get a good characterization of her.

As a reader we all what – what we want, for whom to be with and who not to be with. I was pleasantly surprised by the ending of the story and have to say it’s a Hea for all. Especially me the reader. Depending upon what type of reader you are - you may get teary eyed in this instalment and also gob smacked.

I have to say I had a WTF moment in one scene – this will make sense once you have read the book. I was like really ……

This book gives us a whirlwind of emotions, thrilling and exciting and of course enlightening.
In The Mistress we see the  Love that Nora has for the people in her life, and the men team together to save her from her kidnapper.  A little something extra regarding  Nora  is in this instalment -  normally she is straight forward, crude and frank but we see a softer side of her as well.

Overall, a great ending to this series, a smooth flowing storyline with great dialogue and kink filled moments. As well as moments of clarity and resolution within characters.

I eagerly await more of Tiffany’s erotica and The Priest.

**Thank you to Harlequin for suppyling me with this book for review.**
