The Angel by Tiffany Reisz book review

No safe word can protect the heartInfamous erotica author and accomplished dominatrix Nora Sutherlin is doing something utterly out of character: hiding. While her longtime lover, Søren—whose fetishes, if exposed, would be his ruin—is under scrutiny pending a major promotion, Nora's lying low and away from temptation in the lap of luxury.

Her host, the wealthy and uninhibited Griffin Fiske, is thrilled to have Nora stay at his country estate, especially once he meets her traveling companion. Young, inexperienced and angelically beautiful, Michael has become Nora's protégé, and this summer with Griffin is going to be his training, where the hazing never ends.

But while her flesh is willing, Nora's mind is wandering. To thoughts of Søren, her master, under investigation by a journalist with an ax to grind. And to another man from Nora's past, whose hold on her is less bruising, but whose secrets are no less painful. It's a summer that will prove the old adage: love hurts.

My review

Fetishes…they’re the pet you feed or the beast that eats you.”

We’ll feed your beast until it’s tamed.”-Nora Sutherlin

Sigh - what an ending, WHAT A BOOK!!

I certainly can’t wait for book three. Tiffany certainly has us on the edge of our seat through this read. So many emotions put forward within this story. It will tug at your heart strings – and have you cringing and eager all the same. You will wander why you are compelled to read on, despite the ongoing within the story. Tiffany does a wonderful job of pulling you into the pages until the last one has been turned.

The Angel is dark, sensual, alluring and slightly haunting but so well written, it will certainly enlighten you into a world that you never knew existed. It will have you bordering on more than just an emotional roller coaster ride whilst reading this story, it will take you into another world.

It will have you blissfully gushing one moment, and ohh and agggggghhh ing the next. Some parts will make you cringe whilst others will have your panties in a twist.

For those who are new to the world of BDSM – it will certainly come across as dark to you on many levels. But keep in mind it’s all consensual and this is the lifestyle that they choose to live.
Many people live this lifestyle and Tiffany has certainly done her homework here. (For all those who chat with Tiffany Reisz this will make sense) ;)

You will think to yourself whilst reading – Oh my – Can I read on: and then wander why? - This world that Tiffany has created lures you in. You will be unable to put it down, despite certain things that happen within the story. I know I read this in record breaking time.
Tiffany has not held back with The Angel – every boundary that can be pushed has been, plus more. We are shown a world – in more detail within this book, more kink – more loving and of course a different side to Soren. I have to say that after reading this book, I can see the love that he feels for Nora even though some may think its abuse; Tiffany does portray his love for her on their own level.

Soren is arrogant, and very intimidating yet also intriguing. I was drawn to him more so within this story, he holds so much power, yet uses to his advantage in everyday life as well as behind the scenes. He is caring and loyal – and a character I can honestly say I didn’t like much in book one. But in this book we see more to him. He knows what love is despite what we may think, and is a man that is more than honorable despite the fact that he is a Priest and doing the wrong thing?? Define wrong - ?

Do keep in mind that everything Nora does is for love – her choice and her boundaries to push. This is the lifestyle she chooses to live. The blood play the seven slices – was very squeamish for me, I cringed. Scowled - but I also found this quiet an intimate act between Soren and Nora. It meant something to them.

An act that you and I may find quiet distasteful, scary, gross and bla … Had its meaning behind it.

Nora is quirky as ever, with her witty comments and her sometimes dry sense of humor, made the read a little lighter and funny at times. We see several sides to Nora once again within this story as well as every character being multi-faceted. We are also introduced to new characters as well.

In this installment of Tiffany Reisz’s mind blowing erotica – we see Nora struggle with her undying love for Wesley, she thinks that she is over him, but as a reader I know she is certainly NOT … I have to say I missed Wesley in this story and also the humor and fun friendship between herself and her editor.

Nora is sent away to live with Griffin and Michael, while Soren is investigated by a journalist. By keeping them below the radar he hopes that the conflicted stories, sway and they can live their lives once again.

We see a different side to Griffin and Michael in this story – all the emotions are well portrayed and put forth giving the reader a lot more than we could ever have bargained for. ** sigh **
The ending – Oh my!!!!

I flicked the reader to see if there was more to come and noooooo… I had a grin like a Cheshire cat, and thought to myself... Oh my Wesley’s book is next... Ran over to Twitter and read all the comments to see how long I had to wait... Kingsley I am very eager to see where this leads to ….

I was eager to read The Angel but I am waiting with my breathe baited for the next book – even wandering in which direction Tiffany will take us... Contemplating and plotting – but I’m sure Tiffany will leave us hanging off the cliff with the next installment as well.

The Angel is Sinfully sexy – erotic, as hot as kryptonite. Tiffany Reisz has written a fan friggin tastic story , that Is not only well written but filled with witty dialogue , passion, humor and characters that will pull you into the pages.

It is sensual, with many heartwarming scenes and many other scenes that I’m sure you as a reader will question your sanity and thoughts lol - as to why you enjoyed it so much, it will open your mind, and also question your beliefs but also have you curious none the less.
