Sunrise at Sunset by Jaz Primo. Romancing the Book Tour

Today I have Sunset at Sunrise by Jaz Primo as part of the Romancing the Book Tour.

We vampires are focused and tend to shape our own realities. My name is Katrina Rawlings, and I am a vampire. I declare that with neither pride nor ego. I am simply nature's most dangerous predator. On occasion, it's a very valuable quality. It helped me protect Caleb Taylor one day when he was very young. But that single, traumatic day is behind him now; wiped from his memory, or so I hope. Caleb has finally matured into a rather striking young man, and believe me, I like what I see. I'll readily admit that there are issues for us to confront and overcome, though a sense of mutual commitment isn't one of them. I'm feeling hopeful for our future together, in fact. But an adversary from my past has returned to haunt me, and she's trying to get back at me through Caleb. That was her first...and last...mistake. I'll protect my Caleb at all costs, and I'll make her regret the day she was born. So, I suppose that I'm not just a vampire. I'm about to become someone's worst nightmare.

My thoughts - Review for Sunrise at Sunset

Sunrise at sunset is yes another vampire tale( but saying  this not in a bad way I personally love to read about vamps one of my favourites )   but one in which Jaz has woven his own tale.

Katrina meets Caleb after deciding she no longer wishes to die,aka to walk out in to the sunlight , she has a change of heart and here she meets Caleb -  her little angel  whom saves her and they  form a bond. Katrina goes through Calebs life keeping an eye on him and protecting him, she never anticipated years later to fall in love with him or having an attraction so magnetic.

There love blooms and Katrina thinks that life is all rosey until dark forces threaten her love. One of her own is after blood.

Sunrise at sunset is filled with romance, not over the top, adventure, a kickarse ALpha female lead and other characters who made an intriguing storyline.

I personally enjoyed Paige best of all, her funny, witty and humourous characteristics made me giggle here and there. Katrina was the Alpha - vampire in this story, taking lead and protecting Caleb and loving him. Caleb came across as a mere human at times, but dont get me wrong he got in when he could to try and help out. His love for Katrina was evident .

The story is slow to start, gradually builidng Caleb and Katrina's relationship,, and I found the storyline sped up half way into the story taking us into twists and turns I didnt see coming.

Overall, I enjoyed this story, something new and refreshing, where the female is the vampire - lead - protector and the human being the male. I will be reading the next books to find out what happens after the twists n turns in this one ..

I like this whole premise. A vampire protecting a human rather than seeing him as lunch.

Kind of makes me wonder how the man would feel about it actually. I don't have a problem with it!

I've got this book on my TBR list (& all the books in the series), so I'm definitely interested in reading about a heroine who's the 'protector'. It'll be a nice change.
